What is a linear actuator?

With the help of a Linak linear actuator or lifting column, rotary movements of an electric motor are converted into a linear (straight-line) movement.

Operating a Linak lifting column or linear actuator

By simply pressing a button on the remote control, a methodology can be triggered that enables precise and repetitive movement control of pushing, pulling, lifting, lowering, swivelling and positioning.

Linak lifting columns in the shop

Our LinearDirect online Linak shop is clearly organised by manufacturer. Within the products of each manufacturer, all actuators are plug-compatible with the respective control units. Compatibility between manufacturers is not possible. A Linak drive must always be operated with a Linak control unit. A Baumeister & Schack drive must always be operated with a Baumeister & Schack control unit. Linak & Baumeister is not possible. The same applies to TiMotion Technology.

Lifting column portfolio

Our lifting force portfolio is selected in the same way so that you can realise the majority of your projects up to approx. 1 m stroke. If you need more than 1 m-1.5 m. (1000 mm - 1500 mm) stroke, use our self-developed double lifting adapter and double the stroke by using 2 lifting columns in one system. If you need more pushing force / pulling force, simply use 2 drives and double the pushing force.

Everything runs synchronised

In multi-parallel operation, for example with Linak, you can operate up to 16 drives synchronously at the same time. To do this, you need 16 Linak drives and 4 Linak control units, which are connected to each other in multi-parallel operation.
