Buy electric cylinders online

You can order electric cylinders online at LinearDirect. We have a large selection of electric cylinders on offer. In addition to electric cylinders, we also have the right accessories for electric cylinders that you can buy here in the online shop.

Electric cylinders

With an electric cylinder, you can move loads electrically using a cylinder (lifting or lowering). Electric cylinders are a great relief in the workplace, as they can take the strain off your back.

Electric cylinder table applications

Electric cylinders can be used, for example, to electrically adjust the height of a desk or operating table. This ensures an ergonomic working position and protects the back. Electric cylinders are also used for desks . By using them in the office, office workers can work standing up or sitting down, thus protecting their backs from one-sided strain.

Electric cylinder control unit

The control unit of an electric cylinder consists of a central motor control unit with an integrated switched-mode power supply. The switched-mode power supply unit allows different input voltages from approx. 110 V to 230 V to be applied. The switched-mode power supply adapts to the input voltage and then regulates the voltage down to 12 V. 12 V is the operating voltage for most electric cylinders. However, exceptions prove the rule, as certain electric cylinders also run directly on 230 V.

Operation

The electric cylinder can be operated using a wired handset, a Bluetooth remote control or also using potential-free switching contacts of a room control unit. Linak electric cylinders can also be operated via APP with a smartphone (iPhone and Android).

Structure of electric cylinders

Electric cylinders consist of an outer housing, the so-called pillars, or profiles or tubes. The housing profile is often made of anodised aluminium. However, steel tubes (powder-coated) are also used. The electric cylinder contains a geared motor and a threaded spindle or counter-rotating chains (Linak DL4, old model) or double spindles that run inside each other (Linak DL4S, new model).

Load capacity

Load under pressure

Electric cylinders can be loaded in compression and can push up weights of up to 8000 N (800 kg). In our product range we have heavy duty electric cy linders which can lift in a pressure force range from 700 N (70 kg) to 4000 N (400 kg) and 8000 N (800 kg). Simply sort by compressive force or tensile force in the products section.

Tensile load

At LinearDirect, we also offer electric cylinders that can be loaded with tensile force. These can be used, for example, to lower a kitchen cabinet from the ceiling. Filter by tensile force in the product area. You will then find all electric cylinders that can be subjected to tensile force.

Stroke length

We offer electric cylinders in a variety of stroke lengths (travel). Using the double stroke adapter developed by LinearDirect, we can also achieve double the stroke length with 2 electric cylinders. Here is an overview of our available stroke lengths:

  • Electric cylinder with 400 mm stroke
  • Electric cylinder with 600 mm stroke
