LinearDirect is your specialist for electric cylinders for modelling. We have various electric cylinders in stock that can be used in model making. Electric cylinders for model making are very small and can also be used where installation space is generally limited. So-called small lifting columns or mini actuators or mini linear drives are used here.
Electric cylinders for railway modelling staging yards
If you want to build a staging yard, LinearDirect drives are the ideal partner for raising a track level to a specific track level. Our drives are ideal and also suitable for use in modelling. This allows you to programme a specific stop position very precisely, at which the electric cylinder then stops. Thanks to the fine tuning of the end point, you can be sure that the tracks are correctly positioned in the axle. This allows the train to run to its designated siding in the staging yard without derailing due to track misalignment.
Electric cylinders on RC model ships
You can use an electric cylinder to open and close flaps or gates on RC model ships, for example. It is also possible to automate other ship components and superstructures using an eccentric. Various electric cylinders have already been installed in XXL models. The cylinders can also be used independently using a battery pack or battery box.
Electric cylinders for RC excavator models
Electric cylinders are also used in RC excavators and crane models to move the excavator or crane arm. This means that even large bucket loads can be realised and moved. The control unit can then be accommodated in the excavator housing. Motor cables for the electric cylinders are available in lengths of 1 m and 2 m. With Linak electric cylinders, for example, we also have a battery pack / battery box that supplies the excavator with power autonomously over a longer period of time.
