LinearDirect offers telescopic lifting columns. With a telescopic lifting column you can raise or lower loads. Buy a telescopic lifting column individually or as a set of two or four now.

Telescopic lifting column Technical data

A telescopic column is available in electric or manual versions. At LinearDirect, we specialise in telescopic lifting columns that can be supplied with 230 V or 120 V. The electric telescopic lifting column is available in a wide variety of formats and stroke lengths.

How is a telescopic lifting column constructed?

The outside of the telescopic lifting column consists of a profile housing, which is usually made of aluminium rectangular profile (extruded profile) or tubular steel (powder-coated). The individual profiles are pushed into each other so that they extend like a telescope. The overlapping of the telescopic elements gives the telescopic lifting column stability (mainly lateral stability), as the overlap absorbs the tilting moment. Between the telescopic profiles are so-called sliding blocks, often made of Teflon. Teflon has very good sliding properties. This means that the profile surfaces are not scratched during movement. The telescopic column also contains a powerful electric motor that drives a spindle. A driver sits on the spindle, which moves up and down on the spindle (depending on the direction of spindle rotation). Most telescopic lifting columns have a base mounting plate and an upper, so-called head mounting plate. This is where the load level is mounted.

How is a telescopic lifting column operated?

The telescopic lifting column is operated using a remote control (Bluetooth with Linak), a wired handset or potential-free contacts on a room control unit. The telescopic lifting column is raised and lowered by pressing the remote control.

What mains voltage does the telescopic lifting column require?

The telescopic lifting column requires a 230 V or 120 V power supply. The switching power supply of the telescopic control unit can then convert the input voltage to 12 V and supply the telescopic lifting column. The telescopic lifting column can also be operated in the USA using this power supply unit.

How much power does a telescopic lifting column have?

Depending on the voltage, motor strength and spindle pitch, a telescopic lifting column has a lot of power and runs slowly, or has little power and runs quickly. This is due to the spindle pitch inside the telescopic lifting column. The flatter the spindle pitch, the slower the telescope runs and the more force it has. The steeper the spindle pitch, the faster the telescope runs, but with less force.

Where is a telescopic lifting column used?

Telescopic lifting columns are used, for example, when heavy loads need to be lifted at the workplace. Telescopic columns are also used in operating theatres, machinery or private projects.

Who manufactures telescopic lifting columns?

There are various manufacturers of telescopic lifting columns. LinearDirect has telescopic lifting columns from the manufacturers Linak, Baumeister & Schack and TiMotion in stock. We have had excellent experience with these manufacturers over the last 17 years and can highly recommend them to you.
