What is a spindle drive?

A spindle drive is an electric motor that drives a threaded spindle. Depending on the direction of rotation of the motor, the spindle rotates clockwise or anti-clockwise. A driver or slider can then be attached to the spindle, which moves up and down the spindle and ensures axial movement. Depending on the spindle thickness, you can move different loads. However, if you have selected a load that is too high, the spindle can also bend with a longer stroke length. You must therefore always observe the load specifications of the spindle motor. Once the spindle is bent, it will "bend" strongly to very strongly. This can lead to total damage.
Spindle drives are available for tensile and compressive forces. Here in our online shop, you can obtain spindle drives from Baumeister & Schack, Linak and TiMotion Technology.
Heavy-duty spindle drive
Our range also includes heavy-duty spindle drives from Tiotion and Linak. If you cannot find the right heavy-duty spindle drive in our range, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to advise you on the subject of spindle drives and heavy-duty spindle drives. LinearDirect has 17 years of experience in this field.
