EA-KN-20-XS chain drive

The KN-20-XS chain drive is used to open and close windows using a three-link steel chain. The chain is moved by a geared motor, which is supplied electrically by low voltage (24 V DC) and has an integrated electronic load cut-off.

The window opening is programmable by means of DIP switches. The device enables chain stroke lengths of 70, 125, 170 and 210 mm. When the chain re-enters when the window is closed, the limit switch performs an electronic self-regulation based on the power consumption, thus eliminating the need for adjustments. The drive can also be installed without a power supply for the movement if the window is left closed after installation.

The all-metal drive can also be installed in systems for smoke and heat extraction and room ventilation. The drive and the brackets attached to the window are connected by a quick-release coupling. This allows the drive to rotate in order to adapt to the chain stroke, even with lower windows. The brackets are fixed to the window frame with just two screws when the drive is installed.

Thanks to its compact design, the drive is designed for internal use in the window profile. Together with the B-Lock product and the all-round locking fitting, the EA-KN-20-XS chain drive forms a burglar-resistant window block that keeps the window firmly closed and guarantees excellent thermal insulation with a high K coefficient. Whether for daily ventilation or smoke extraction in an emergency, the EA-KN-20-XS integrates perfectly into the façade.
