The PA-KL²-T-K-50 folding arm² electric strike is used for the automated opening of all types of doors. It is particularly suitable for self-closing doors that serve as an air inlet for smoke and heat extraction in an emergency. In this case, the body remains firmly connected to the door frame during its movement. Only the arm that pushes the door open via a roller mechanism moves. Manual opening of the door is not restricted.
The folding arm² electric strike - manual and automated opening of doors without restriction
The PA-KL²-T-K-50 operator can be used flexibly in terms of the installation situation and direction of rotation. It is installed on the frame as well as in the reveal, left and right are possible. It is suitable for use on inward and outward closing elements. It is installed on the secondary closing edge. Depending on the type of installation, opening widths of up to 122° are possible and, together with the extremely short opening time of less than 60 seconds, this guarantees rapid smoke extraction and ventilation in the event of a fire. The targeted opening of doors for air supply also signals the ideal escape and rescue route. This can be combined with signalling indicators and lights via a fire alarm system.
The PA-KL²-T-K-50 electric strike drive is tested and certified in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2. Hinged arm² drives have special kinematics and their high-performance gearing (> 20,000 LW) in conjunction with the stainless steel lever arm is very robust. The PA-KL²-T-K-50 folding arm² electric strike has a maximum force of 500 N in the "OPEN" direction and a rated load of 50 N in the "CLOSE" direction. The short electric strike has a very small installation dimension and is therefore ideal for projects with high aesthetic requirements - especially for small doors with short leaves.
Practical handling thanks to software interface
Connection is made via the SICO-PLUG connector plug. This includes the SICO BUS programming interface, via which parameters such as opening stroke and force can be parameterised directly on site and other status messages can be read out.
The actuator also has a potential-free F-contact for the OPEN or CLOSED end position. Sequence control and start-up delay are freely adjustable. The freely adjustable start-up delay makes the electric strike arm ideal for the automated opening of double-leaf doors (French casement application). The PA-KL²-T-K-50 electric strike drive can also be used in combination with electric strikes and electric closers / motorised locks installed in the door.
Attention: The wired variant {pdb a-576} is required for the simultaneous use of electric strike or electric closer and feedback contact.
