Operating electric cylinders with controls
Operating an electric cylinder with control unit is very simple. A small control box and a hand switch or a remote control (radio or Bluetooth) are required. These are also available here in our shop. Pressing the buttons on the remote control raises or lowers the cylinder. The cylinder can also be operated by a room control unit.
Quick assembly of electric cylinders
A lifting cylinder is constructed with a sturdy outer housing, which is usually made of drawn anodised aluminium or steel tube (powder-coated). The outer housing contains a threaded spindle which moves the lifting cylinder. Depending on the direction of rotation, the electric lifting cylinder then moves up or down.
Technical data Stroke length
There are different technical data for each lifting cylinder. If you need a long stroke, you can use double telescopic lifting cylinders. Triple telescopic lifting cylinders are also available for extra long strokes. Using the double stroke adapter invented by us, you can also achieve extremely long stroke lengths of up to approx. 2000 mm (2 m).
Lifting speed
As already mentioned, the electric lifting cylinder has an internal threaded spindle which rotates and on which a "nut" (driver) is moved. The flatter the thread pitch on the spindle, the slower the cylinder travels. If the spindle pitch is flat, the cylinder has a lot of power. However, if the spindle pitch is very steep, the cylinder moves quickly but has less lifting power.
Standard and heavy-duty electric cylinders
We offer lifting cylinders with different lifting forces (pushing force / pulling force). The smallest mini cylinders have a compressive force of around 10 kg, the largest, so-called heavy-duty electric cylinders up to 8000 N (800 kg). In between, there are also cylinders with compressive forces between 400 N (40 kg) and approx. 800 N (80 kg) and more lifting capacity. You can also filter by lifting force in the product filter.
Electric telescopic lifting cylinder control with KNX
Each lifting cylinder can also be controlled by a room control unit using potential-free contacts. If you have a KNX room control unit, you can connect the KNX control unit by connecting it to our RJ45 or DIN interface. Switching relays or potential-free switches that can be remote-controlled via the KNX are ideal.
