Height-adjustable desk one or two motors

Do I use one or two motors for a height-adjustable desk? We can give you a quick and easy answer to this question here.
If you are planning to build a height-adjustable desk, we recommend equipping it with 2 drives. The reason for this is that two drives simply provide more stability. The stand is also more stable and safer with two drives than with just one drive in the centre. Two drives also run synchronously and evenly and can easily absorb the forces that occur.
We would not equip a desk with a motor. The reason for this is that a desk with only one drive will start to tip over if it is loaded on one side. This poses a high risk of injury to life and limb. For this reason, we do not recommend a centre mono column for a desk.

you attach the mono column under the desk to the desk base and to the floor with appropriately designed screws so that it can no longer tip over, then we can completely rule out any safety concerns. Operation with just one motor is then also possible.
