2022 Online shop for Linak products, linear actuators and lifting columns launches

LinearDirect.eu the online shop for Linak products is launched. Linak products, such as the Linak Des k Frame 2 and a certain range of linear actuators and lifting columns, are sold directly to end customers and small processors from batch size one for the first time in 21 languages.

2021 Linak Desk Frame 2 development

In 2021, Linak a/s developed the Linak Desk Frame 2, the electric desk frame for the US market, to quickly equip open-plan offices of banks and companies with sit-stand desks in the shortest possible time. What was revolutionary here was that the desk frame could be assembled intuitively with just a few clicks. The assembly is so simple that it has enabled the Linak Desk Frame 2 to triumph worldwide.

2021 Factory opening in Thailand

Linak is opening a new production plant and sales department in Thailand in 2021. Among other things, the production centre produces the Linak DESKLINE series.

2010 Linak goes green

In January 2010, the foundation stone is laid for Linak's new path. Linak goes green. In the first step, 500 m² of solar cells were installed on Linak drives. The Linak solar park has a total output of 75 kWp and supplies 90,000 kWh of electricity per year. The total output is 2.7 million kWh, which represents a reduction of 1,277 tonnes of carbon dioxide over an operating period of 30 years. This was the first step towards becoming a climate-neutral company. Further steps towards carbon dioxide savings will follow in the coming years in order to achieve a neutral carbon footprint within the Group.

2010 Launch of the new Linak website

The new Linak website is launched in 2010. The website is given a new, contemporary design and a new structure. 2D and 3D CAD data and all data sheets are available for download in various languages.

2010 Launch of Netline

Development of a complete NETLINE solution for switchgear automation. The Netline solutions are remote switches for switching switchgear in power stations or server farms. They are mainly used in power stations.

2007 Opening of plant in Slovakia

In 2007, Linak opens another plant in Slovakia. Parts of Eastern and Central Europe are supplied from this plant. The plant in Slovakia also serves to maintain a high and efficient production capacity.

2006 Plant in China

in 2006, Linak opens a complete plant in China. In this plant in Shenzen, drives are manufactured for the Chinese market.

Development of the Twindrive

The Twindrive is a further development of the previous bed drives and can be installed in the side of a slatted frame. This drive can be used to adjust hospital beds electrically.

2002 New DESKLINE production hall

In 2002, Linak opens the new circular production hall for the DESKLINE product range. All products for DESKLINE are manufactured in the modern, circular production hall. Among other things, product development is also located in this visually appealing company headquarters.

Royal honours for Linak

The first built-in actuator for tables is launched on the market and King Frederik the Ninth awards Linak the prize of honour for services to Danish exports.

1999 Opening of Linak USA plant

In 1999, the "leap" across the pond took place. Linak opens its USA sales office with its own factory. Linak manufactures actuators for the US and South American market in the factory in the US state of Kentucky.

1998 Presentation of DESKLINE

In 1998, Linak introduces the DESKLINE product series, which is still available today. The DESKLINE product series is a Linak product area that deals with the automation of desks and other office furniture. Linak was an absolute pioneer in this field.

1995 Another award for Linak

The city of Nordborg in Denmark awards Linak the initiative prize for corporate commitment and innovation. 1995 Linak receives the Mads Clausens Award from Danfoss.

1992 Award for Linak

In 1992, Linak was honoured with the "Golden Anvil" from Jydske Vestkysten, a prize awarded to companies and owners in Denmark for outstanding engineering achievements.

1990 Linak opens in Great Britain

1990 Linak opens the second foreign branch in the company's history in England (Great Britain, UK). This is a large factory building with integrated office space. From this location, the English market could be optimally served. Linak increased its storage capacity in order to be able to deliver quickly and, together with the excellent product quality, was able to grow very quickly as a result.

1989 the breakthrough for Linak

This year saw a breakthrough for Linak in drive systems for hospitals and the healthcare sector. From then on, all hospital beds worldwide gradually became comfortable with Linak drives. Linak made it possible to adjust the beds electrically. The head section and foot section of the bed surface could be infinitely adjusted in angle.

1985 Linak opens its first foreign branch

Linak opens its first foreign branch in neighbouring Sweden. The Swedish and Finnish markets are served from there. The foreign subsidiary in Sweden consists of a larger company headquarters and a hall. There is a correspondingly large number of parking spaces in front of the main building of the Swedish branch.

1984 Linak logo

The Linak logo, as it is still used today, was developed and launched in 1984. The logo consists of the Linak lettering and a horizontal circular arrow and a vertical arrow pointing upwards. The colour of the Linak logo is light blue.

1982 Linak

In 1982, the company moved into its new headquarters in Guderup. The new Linak headquarters consisted of a warehouse and a technical annex where the development and sales offices were located.

1979 Linak introduces the LA30

In 1979, Linak introduced its first linear actuator, the LA30. The LA30 actuator is a linear actuator that has the motor flange-mounted on the side and drives a lifting cylinder by means of a rotating spindle. The Linak LA30 was manufactured in various stroke lengths and is the basis of Linak in this era.

1976 Linak succession within the Jensen family of owners

Linak was taken over in 1976 by Bent Jensen, the grandson of Christian Jensen. Bent Jensen, a mechanical engineer through and through, decided to transform Linak into a manufacturer of linear actuators and lifting columns. He achieved this in just over a decade thanks to excellent innovations and very high product quality.

1907 the founding year of Linak

Linak was founded in 1907 by Christian Jensen as a mechanical engineering company. In its early years, Linak was a manufacturer of arable farming machinery and ploughs. Since then, Linak has constantly developed and adapted to market requirements and manufactured the products and machines needed.
