LINAK CBD4 control unit is defective. Successor is LINAK CBD6S control unit
If your LINAK CBD4 controller is defective, then the LINAK CBD6S controller is the successor. The CBD6S controller is also compatible with lifting columns and table frames that were previously operated with the CBD4.
LINAK CBD4 table controller
The LINAK CBD4 control unit for your height-adjustable desk was manufactured until 2015. The LINAK CBD4 control unit is slightly larger than the new LINAK CBD6S control unit. The CBD4 control unit still had a toroidal transformer and was therefore somewhat heavier.
LINAK CBD4 successor
The direct successor to the CBD4 is the LINAK CBD6S 200 W or CBD6S 300 W controller. The CBD6S impresses with its very flat design and low weight. Unlike its predecessor CBD4, the LINAK CBD6S is equipped with a switching power supply (300 W version), which makes it possible to operate the CBD6S in countries that do not have 230 V mains voltage.
LINAK CBD6S compatible with old actuators
The LINAK CBD6S is compatible with older LINAK lifting columns and LA actuators from the LINAK DESKLINE series. This means that old LINAK actuators that were previously operated with the CBD4 can also be operated with the LINAK CBD6S control unit.
Port and connector design
All LINAK CBD4 ports and the required connectors are completely identical to the ports of the LINAK CBD6S. The familiar MOLEX-MINIFIT motor connections are used. The ports A1/A2 (patch/RJ45) for the LINAK control elements are also still identical. The IEC port for the mains plug has not changed either.

Is the LINAK CBD6S downward compatible? Yes!
New LINAK lifting columns (manufactured from 2015) cannot be operated with a LINAK CBD4 control unit (old). The LINAK CBD6 control unit is backwards compatible with old LINAK linear actuators and lifting columns.
Is the LINAK CBD4 upwards compatible? No!
However, the CBD4 is not upwards compatible! This means that you cannot operate new LINAK lifting columns and linear actuators from the DESKLINE series (from 2015) with a LINAK CBD4!
Since 2015 only CBD6S
LINAK discontinued the CBD4 controller in 2015 (End of Life - EOL) and replaced it with the CBD6S controller. As mentioned above, you can operate old LINAK actuators with the CBD6S, but not vice versa. If your CBD4 control unit is defective, or if you have a defective electric LINAK table frame that is operated with a LINAK CBD4 control unit, you can purchase the successor model from us.
