Linak desk control operation
With the Linak desk control you can control Linak desks or the electric desk legs from Linak. The Linak desk control unit requires a mains voltage of 230 V. We have 2 Linak desk controls in our range. These differ in the number of motor connections and their respective output in watts.
Available Linak control units for desks
Linak has 2 control units which are mainly used for electric desks. These two control units are compatible with all lifting columns for desks from the Linak DESKLINE series. The CBD6S is available for 2 drives with 200 W power, or as CBD6S for up to 4 lifting columns with 300 W power. The CBD6S control unit regulates the desk legs so that they always run synchronised.
Worldwide use
The cool thing about the CBD6S control unit is that the CBD6S with 300 W has a switching power supply. This means that it can also be operated with 120 V mains voltage. This means that this Linak control unit can also be operated in the USA, for example.
Programmability
All Linak desk control units can be programmed in terms of stroke and speed using the Linak Desk Control software. The Linak Desk Control software can also be used to set the anti-collision function.
Operational reliability CBD6S
The CBD6S is very reliable in operation and has a very high level of user safety. For example, the CBD6S control unit has anti-collision monitoring, which monitors upward and downward movement. If the desk runs into an obstacle, the CBD6S recognises this and moves the desk in the opposite direction.
Operation via app for older CBD6 control units (before 2019) requires a software upgrade
The new CBD6S control units can be operated directly ex works with the new desk app. If you have an older CBD6S control unit from Linak, you can easily convert it to app operability at a later date by upgrading the software.
Free software upgrade from LinearDirect when purchasing Linak control panel DPG1C
If you have an older Linak desk frame and would like to operate it via app at a later date, you can purchase the Linak DPG1C control unit. To be fully functional, you still need to send us your "old" CBD6S control unit for a software update. After the software update by our technical department, we will send you the DGP1C Bluetooth control panel together with your updated CBD6S control unit.

Is it difficult to set up a Linak desk control unit? => Linak controls are plug and play and require no prior technical knowledge.
How do I plug the connectors into the CBD6S control unit? => The plugs are twist-proof so that they can only be plugged in one way.
What do I need to bear in mind when commissioning the Linak desk control unit? => When you put the Linak desk control unit into operation, you must connect the desk legs from port 1 upwards. Once you have connected the two Linak desk legs, you must initialise the system.
This is how the initialisation process works=> Press the "down" button on the desk panel or on the Linak remote control for 10 seconds until the Linak drives are fully retracted. When the two operators are then in the lowest position, press the "down" button twice for 10 seconds. The Linak drives should "twitch" downwards again by approx. 2-3 mm. If this is the case, the drives and the CBD6S control unit are initialised and ready for operation.
Important: If the initialisation process does not work the first time, repeat the process up to 5-6 times.
How is the Linak table control delivered? => The Linak table control unit is sent to you in a cardboard box with very good packaging. Within Europe we use GLS. For worldwide deliveries we use FedEx.
