TiMotion error codes: Diagnosis and meaning

TiMotion, a renowned Asian manufacturer of lifting columns and electric desk frames, stands for innovative and high-quality solutions in the field of ergonomic furniture customisation. These technologically advanced products are designed to maximise working comfort. However, as with any technological device, malfunctions can occasionally occur. To enable efficient troubleshooting, the control panels have a built-in function for displaying error codes.

These fault codes are a powerful tool for diagnosing problems and malfunctions. Each code corresponds to a specific fault or problem that could affect the desk frame or lifting column. The codes are designed to give the user and technicians clear indications of which aspect of the system is affected and what steps should be taken to resolve the problem.

Some of the most common TiMotion error codes are:


Error code Descriptions

000 Reset

Initialise the desk.

  • Move the desk all the way down.

  • Press the "DOWN" button in the lowest position for 10 seconds.


E00 Not completely reset

  • Repeat the reset initialisation process

E01 Overload protection

  • Unload the desk

  • Initialise the desk

  • If the desk no longer works, contact Lineardirect customer service



E02 Unbalance protection

  • Motor spindle bent due to collision

  • Replace the drive(s)

E03 Collision protection

  • Check for collisions

  • Check for obstacles

  • Initialise the table

E04 T-Touch protection

E11 M1 Motor overcurrent protection

  • Motor 1 had an overload

  • Check for collisions

  • Remove the obstacle

  • Initialise the table

E12 M2 Overcurrent protection for the motor

  • Motor 2 had an overload

  • Check for collisions

  • remove the obstacle

  • Initialise the table


E13 M3 Overcurrent protection for the motor

  • Motor 3 had an overload

  • Check for collisions

  • Remove the obstacle

  • Initialise the table


E21 No Hall sensor from M1

  • Check cables for crushing

  • Motor cable in motor defective

  • Hall sensor defective

  • Replace the motor

  • Initialise the table

E22 No Hall sensor from M2

  • Check cable for crushing

  • Motor cable in motor defective

  • Hall sensor defective

  • Replace the motor

  • Initialise the table


E23 No Hall sensor from M3

  • Check cable for crushing

  • Motor cable in motor defective

  • Hall sensor defective

  • Replace the motor

  • Initialise the table


E31 No power from M1

  • Motor cable of motor 1 defective

  • Replace motor 1

  • Initialise the table

E32 No power from M2

  • Motor cable of motor 2 defective

  • Replace motor 2

  • Initialise the table


E33 No power from M3

  • Motor cable of motor 2 defective

  • Replace motor 2

  • Initialise the table
