Folding arm² drives - Premium SHEV window opener
The hinged arm is the premium drive technology for motorised window opening on façades and roofs. It is not only designed and tested for use in smoke and heat extraction, but also for controlled natural ventilation. Drives of the "folding arm" type have special kinematics and their high-performance gearing (> 20,000 LW) in conjunction with the stainless steel lever arms are highly resistant to changing loads (wind, snow). The symmetrical design in particular and the small installation dimensions when closed make this automatic window opener ideal for projects with high aesthetic requirements - especially for large and heavy windows. All hinged arm drives are tested and certified in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2 together with various profile series for use as natural smoke and heat extraction devices. The connection is made via the SICO-PLUG connector. This contains the SICO BUS programming interface, via which parameters such as opening stroke and force can be parameterised and other status messages can be read out. Products in the PA series are available in various versions, both as solo and synchronised actuators. They can be networked with each other in synchronous groups and for remote control with SHEV control centres and the building management system. All folding arm² drives are characterised by a very high level of efficiency due to their low power consumption, thereby reducing running operating costs in the long term.
Performance features of the PA-KL²-100/710 folding arm² drive
The PA-KL²-100/710 hinged arm² drive is a solo drive with integrated load cut-off and can be used to automate inward and outward opening windows on façades and roofs. Installation is possible on main and secondary closing edges. The PA-KL²-100/710 hinged arm² drive has an opening stroke of 710 mm and, depending on the installation position, achieves a large cross-section for effective natural ventilation/smoke extraction. The PA-KL²-100/710 folding arm² drive has a push and pull force of 1000 N. Drive parameters such as force and opening stroke can be adapted to local conditions on site using the SICO LINK software interface. The PA-KL²-100/710 folding arm² actuator has a restart lock, a soft start and a soft close for seal relief. The PA-KL²-100/710 hinged arm² drive can also be used together with locking drives in sequence controls; its potential-free feedback contact is freely adjustable.
