Retractable pool pump and pool cover - the cool hiding place for pool equipment and accessories

Hide your retractable pool technology and retractable pool liner in the ground on your patio, garden or property. With our lifting columns, for example, you can build electrically retractable storage space solutions or retractable floor cabinets yourself and lower them electrically into the ground on your property.

Here we show you how to conceal pool technology, pool covers and garden equipment, such as lawn mowers, barbecues or lounge cushions, out of sight in the retractable floor cabinet.

With the lifting columns available from us, you can stow pool equipment away in the garden. Who hasn't experienced it: you're sitting on the terrace by the pool enjoying a BBQ and a beer and everything is easy and relaxed. You have designed the pool area to your own taste and are enjoying the view. As always, the pool cover film reel immediately catches your eye. It is precisely this unwinder that is always hot on your heels. In the past, it has stood behind the lounge on the terrace, or to the side of the house, or somewhere else. After sunset, you have to carry the pool liner dispenser to the pool with your wife or one of the kids and then unwind the liner to protect the pool.

There it is again, the pool liner unwinder, only without the pool liner. It's always been around the pool somehow. The sight of it and carrying it back and forth can be very annoying in the evening. But this can come to an end.

Solutions to make the pool liner unwinder disappear from sight

There are of course a variety of ways to cover the pool. The electric pool roller shutter with cover, for example, can be positioned discreetly at the side, but still somehow prominently, in a box. This is ok, but sometimes very expensive. For a pool measuring 4 m by 7 m, such a roller shutter can quickly cost over EUR 10,000.

In addition to the surface-mounted pool cover, there is also a solution where the roller shutter is stowed in the pool basin. The roller shutter then rises due to the buoyancy and closes the pool. A very good friend of mine had just such a system installed in his pool. The motor broke down twice within a year and the pool company spent 3 hours each time repairing it with a scuba tank. Nobody wants that.

Cost-effective solution for hiding pool equipment or lounge cushions and the barbecue in the floor

The retractable pool equipment is a cool and cost-efficient solution that you can also realise independently, for example a pit or shaft at the side of the pool from which you can then move the film unwinder upwards. This means that you don't always have to carry the unwinder around, it is always where you need it, but invisible in the ground the rest of the time.

With our lifting column set, you can stow lounge cushions in the floor, for example in a retractable floor cabinet hidden in the shaft. Lounge cushions often require a lot of space for storage and then the garage can quickly become so full that you can no longer walk through it. These lounge cushions then completely block the passageway as they lie on top of the bikes. If you then want to ride your bike, you have to move the lounge cushions somewhere else. I think you know exactly what I mean.

Space is worth its weight in gold! Unfortunately, we don't have any gold now, but we're bursting with creativity and a thirst for projects ;) So it makes sense to perhaps realise such an underfloor storage project independently. Everyone as they can and like it.

For example, you can create additional underground storage space on the property by going into the ground. You have enough space in the ground to create additional storage space. You can dig down to a depth of one to two metres and obtain an excavation that will create additional storage space in the form of a poured concrete shaft or brick shaft. The floor shaft should of course be built in such a way that it corresponds to the current state of the art. There is plenty of information on the web on how to do this.

For the clever do-it-yourselfer, this opens up all kinds of underground spaces and areas that can be utilised additionally. Once you get to grips with this topic, you will very quickly find a lot of areas where you can go underground.

The correct dimensioning of the storage lift system

Depending on the weight to be carried, you will need to design the lifting columns with the appropriate strength. Calculate the total weight to be carried in advance. The lifting column set should always be designed so that it has more force than the total weight to be carried. The respective permissible load values can be found in the product details at the bottom of the technical data. The values are in Newtons, where 10 N=1 kg. A lifting column with 700 N therefore has a load capacity of 70 kg. The lifting columns are absolutely synchronised and move evenly.

Operating the floor storage lift system

The floor storage lift system is operated using a Bluetooth remote control or a wired handset. It is also possible to operate the retractable floor cabinet using potential-free contacts of a room control system. Our system is not tied to any specific manufacturers such as KNX, Crestron or Control4.

Lowering ferry wheels into the floor

In addition to pool and garden equipment, you can also, for exampleLower bicycles into the ground. Bicycles also waste a lot of space and are often moved from A to B in order to get around. Here we would like to point out that not only pool equipment or other items can be hidden in the ground. For example, you can make a small wooden or steel structure yourself and install it in the shaft. The wooden or steel structure is then installed between the lifting columns.
